Revolves around his relationship with the heroine becoming stagnant. Shin knows how uncomfortable she is when he kisses her, and he admits to worrying that the heroine still thinks of him as nothing but a childhood friend. The heroine tells him that this isn't the case, but that she's too overcome with feelings when alone with him, and can't get herself to focus. Both agree to work harder on being open about their feelings.

His route has him and the others keep mentioning that his relationship with the heroine will be over when the end of August rolls around, leaving the heroine and Orion trying to figure out why this deadline has been set. They are also confused about Ikki acting oddly cold towards the heroine in public, while being very loving when they are alone.
Shows the heroine moving in with Ikki into his one-room apartment. The two work out how to live with each other now, though Ikki promises to not force the heroine into any intimate contact until she's ready for it. But outside of their personal matters, they also have to deal with her father continuing to reject her relationship and living with Ikki, and wanting to take her home. And even Ikki's old fanclub isn't ready to give up on him yet, much to the heroine's furstration and Ikki's annoyance.
Kent is 25 years old and a graduate student of mathematics. He enjoys math and often creates mathematical puzzles and quizzes for others to solve in his spare time. Kent believes that everything in life can be approached through logic and reason, leading to his behavior and words often being blunt.

His route makes it clear that he and the heroine had a big fight a few days prior, leaving his interactions with her to be even more harsh than usually. Kent misinterprets the heroine's unusual demeanor to be an attempt to patch things up between them, and he works on approaching her more openly than before himself. His route has him be aware of the heroine's memory-loss because he found her on the ground in front of her home. When he learns that she's being harassed by someone anonymous at her place, Toma offers her to stay at his place for a while. When Shin learns that Toma is keeping the heroine around, he reveals that they have no romantic relationship, contrary to what Toma originally told her. Things get worse when Toma reveals the extent he's willing to go to keep the heroine safe.
Revolves around the aftermath of his actions and the bullying of the fangirls. He asks the heroine to keep staying at his place for at least a week, until things on the internet have calmed down. However, he's hesitant to really proceed with a romantic relationship with the heroine, saying that, even if the heroine has forgiven him, he thinks that he shouldn't be allowed to get away without punishment.
Ukyo is 24 years old and a freelance photographer. He has travelled the world and lived in various countries, first because of his family life and eventually because of his job. He's polite and friendly, but can easily come across as creepy and threatening to the heroine, much to her confusion and terror. He seems to know the heroine in every route.
Black☆rock Shooter (anime)
His route has the heroine meet him at the beginning of August and being confused, as Ukyo seems to know her, but he won't explain how. Despite the heroine trying to talk to Ukyo, he keeps insisting that he must stay away from her, but also find himself repeatedly wanting to be with her. He also warns her of instances that could prove fatal to her, and claims that he will explain things at a later date.
Has him and the heroine live rather happily, with neither of them being considered an anomaly to the universe anymore. However, the heroine cannot remember the events of August 25th, which leads to confusion when the day is mentioned. And Ukyo is trying to shield her from remembering anything unpleasant.
While out in the human world, he accidentally ended up merging with the heroine's soul and ended up pushing her memories out of her, resulting in her amnesia.
Clannad (visual Novel)
Orion can only be seen and heard by the heroine. As his merging with her made her lose her memories, he feels guilty over this and vows to help her regain them.
Sawa is a lively university student and studies at the same school as the heroine and Mine. Some routes have her work as a maid at the
Café, and is one of the members in Ikki's fanclub. Mine has a bubbly and happy personality, though she can act rather differently, depending on the route.

The leader of Ikki's fanclub.Rika is a sarcastic and aristocratic woman, and her obsessive love for Ikki tends to put her at odds with the heroine. She's very loving towards Ikki, but also keeps a rein on the other fangirls, particularly the new members.
The heroine's father. Very little is known about him, as he never makes a physical appearance in any of the routes, except for Spade World and in Ikki's After Story. This leads to his appearance in Spade World to be the one with the most personality. Most routes do imply that he works overseas.
Nhil is the leader of the spirits and Orion's master. Very little is known about him, though Orion reveals that he has gone missing for some time. This also reveals the reason why Orion was in the human world to begin with, having gone there to try and find Nhil.
Blackrock Shooter: Dawn Fall (anime)
Nhil turns out to be possessing Ukyo, similar to Orion having possessed the heroine. When Ukyo begged Nhil to save the heroine from her fated death, he used his powers to let Ukyo travel to various worlds in the hope of fulfilling his wish.
With Ukyo repeatedly dying or seeing the heroine die, Nhil eventually realized that the universe itself was trying to balance out the anomaly that was Ukyo's and the heroine's continued existences in the same world.
Nhil's powers weakened over the many attempts at fulfilling Ukyo's wish and failing, leaving him with very little left. With the last of his powers, he went to the original Joker World and rewound time, with him and Ukyo knowing that this was the last chance they had.
